This is our first offering of this new cross and its reverse. Calanthes have thin foliage and most, including this hybrid, are deciduous. Arching stems of pink, white or possible red flowers will appear in mid-winter from the base of the bulbs. At the same time, the foliage yellows and drops off until new growth appears in the spring. We grow our Calanthes in a mixture of peat mix and fine fir bark. The best way to grow them is to retain even moisture during the active months and little or no water during the dormant period.
We offer these young plants in 2½" pots. They will be flowering size in 2-3 years and require bright indirect light.
